February 2015 Playlist

february 2015 music playlist, february music favorites

Don't you love the feeling you get when your favorite song comes on the radio? I'm one of those people who will turn the volume up, dance like nobody's watching, and sing as loud as humanly possible, unless of course I'm a car with someone I've just met and I don't want to scare them off... I've compiled a small list of my most played songs this month. I would say they're mostly feel-good/ love songs, but hey, that's just what I like. I love listening to music that reminds me of being on vacation, traveling, and being with my family. It totally puts me in such a good mood so I can go out and conquer the day! So the next time your favorite song comes on the radio, don't be afraid to express yourself, even if it may result in your voice being lost. And with that, I wish you a super duper fabulous day filled with lots of your favorite music!

Mid-Week Tea Party

Sometimes it's nice to give yourself a little treat in the middle of the week just to keep ya going. Tea parties are always fun, especially when you have an adorable little sister to share it with! I would have shown a cute tea party outfit, but let's be real... it's a wednesday night and as soon as I got home, I put my on pajamas. Comfort over cuteness ladies. But I'm serious, we should give ourselves mini vacations once in awhile to reduce the stress of everyday life. Don't regret it girl! It'll help you be more productive later because you won't be as stressed or burnt out, trust me.  Of course, don't give yourself too many treats and breaks or else you may make your stress worse by avoiding the problem. Moderation, moderation, moderation. Alright, well that's it for today beauties, I'll talk to you in my next post! Have a fabulous day!

Spring Outfit Inspiration

I feel like I haven't blogged in a long time, but it's only been eleven days, so I guess that's not too bad. Here are some spring outfits that I hope will inspire your spring style! I already blogged about one of the outfits, but I decided to include it anyways. Also, I went roller skating yesterday for the first time in about 8 years and it was so fun! I'll be honest with you, it took me awhile to warm up, but I finally got it. I definitely felt it in my legs this morning haha, so I'm thinking about getting some skates of my own as another fun way to exercise in the spring and summer! Anyways, have a fabulous day!

Nothing like finding something amazing in an unexpected place. I found this beautiful paisley and fringe kimono at Walmart while waiting two hours for my mom to pick me up after school. Usually their clothes don't really interest me, but when I found this gem I just had to buy it especially since it was half the price it would be at any other store. So there I was sitting at this table, doing my homework with a big grin on my face because I was thinking about all the outfit combinations I could create with my new kimono. What a nerd. But, my mom finally picked me up and I was able to introduce the gorgeous garment to my closet. I styled it with some dark wash skinny jeans from American Eagle, a black cami, black combat boots, and these layered necklaces that came as a set. My stud earrings were a birthday gift and they're actually little gold elephants which I absolutely adore. And guess what! I actually decided to do something with my hair. It's really simple, but I just twisted one side of my hair and pinned it at the back of my neck, leaving the other side down. Then to finish it off, I pinned back a small piece from the side that I left down. To be honest, I just wanted my hair out of my face since it was windy, but it turned out looking pretty cute.

I'm in love with romance. Reading and watching love stories sure has given me a romantic view on love, and I haven't decided if that's necessarily good or bad. But since Valentine's Day is coming up, I decided to put together a cute outfit for a date or just hanging out with friends on this lovely holiday. The pink elbow patches on the striped jacket add a splash of color, and make the outfit look more lively and fresh. The outfit is so simple, with a strapless black dress as the base of the ensemble, but the details are what make it. I love how the nude ankle boots elongate my legs, and the cream statement necklace adds a bit of interest. Of course, we can't forget my leather cross body bag, which completes this Valentine's Day look, and perfects the chic style.
Thanks so much for reading, have a fabulous day!

How to De Clutter Your Life

how to de clutter your life

Happy February! Sundays, for me, are always about relaxing, refreshing, and getting everything cleaned, organized and prepped for the week. Same with the first day of a new month! As I was cleaning out my backpack, I had the idea of writing about how to de clutter your life. Here's what I came up with:

1.) Get rid of all trash. This is the simplest way to de clutter.

2.) Donate what you don't need, such as clothing, books, furniture, etc. You'll have more room for the energy to flow and more room for things that you actually like. That polka dot sweater that you haven't worn in 2 years might be holding you back... you never know...

3.) Clean out your phone and other devices! Get rid of pictures, apps, notes, music, etc. that you don't need. Most people carry their phone with them everywhere, so if you don't clean it out, you'll never get away from the clutter. Only keep what you need.

4.) Keep a planner and/or reminder board. I have a planner so that I stay on top of my homework and so I know when important dates are coming up, and I have a cork board to hang important papers and reminders. Definitely helpful with organization and keeping your tasks prioritized! I have less to think about if I write it down, which means less cluttered thoughts.

5.) Keep a journal. This also goes along with de cluttering your thoughts. I've found that I like to write in a journal every night to just kind of close the day and get everything out of my head before I go to sleep. If I need to remember something, I can go back and see what I wrote.

6.) Meditate. Think about what you need to do. What's bothering you? Then find a solution and fix it. Yes, some things may be more complicated, but it's important to reflect and think for a second. You'll feel more refreshed if you actually take time to think instead of constantly running until you run out of gas. You can put things in perspective and change your attitude!

So that's all I have right now, but I hope it helps! Have a fabulous February!
