You never really know what you're getting into. I recently signed up to volunteer at the Lowry Park Zoo Zoominations Festival and had no idea what I was going to be doing, all I knew was that I need hours for my scholarship. I went in for my first day and you'll never guess what my first job was... the panda costume. Although I was sweating buckets it was so fun, and I got plenty of breaks to go and enjoy the beautiful lanterns and displays! The whole park was beautifully decorated. I found it so amazing how all of it was made with silk, wire and lights, and it took about five weeks to build. There were even Chinese acrobats who put on a show. I couldn't believe some of the acts they did... they were overflowing with talent and skill. Along with the lights, displays, costumes and acrobats, there were even stands where you could buy hand crafted art and some delicious food. I ended up getting a lucky cat charm for me and a dragon charm for my sister haha. Zoominations is definitely a must see event, especially since it's the first time that it has been in the southeast U.S. Love it! Totally more fun than volunteering at the library haha! Anyways, hope you have a fabulous day!

rainy day outfit for spring

Rain in the spring is so refreshing. That's one of the reasons I love spring so much, not necessarily the rain, but how it means new beginnings and new life. It's definitely a very happy season and the fact that it includes all my favorite colors is a total plus! So today I went out in the rain and decided to have a little photo session. Thankfully it wasn't storming, just a light sprinkle. It was warm enough to wear my little floral ruffle shorts, but windy enough for me to wear my cobalt blue jacket that I could never really find an outfit to wear with until now. And my green lace shirt was begging to be included in this ensemble, so I gave in and wore it. Here's a tip... if you want to have a photo shoot and don't feel like wearing makeup but you look like you haven't slept in about a decade, wear some cute sunglasses and you are set like jello. You're welcome. Anyways HAPPY MARCH! So excited for what this month has in store for us and check back for some new posts coming up! Have a fabulous day!
