DIY Quartz Necklace

DIY quartz necklace

It's been awhile since I've actually done a tutorial post, not counting my videos. I didn't realize how much I missed it! Today, I'm going to show you how to make this quartz necklace. I am so in love with how it turned out. This jewelry piece looks elegant, sophisticated and adds interest to your outfit. There's just something about adding natural elements to your outfits that I just love. Of course, these are just glass... but you get the idea! Here's how to make it:

Materials:
A. Quartz beads
B. Chain
C. Lobster clasp, eye pin, and jump rings (I just used the links of the chain instead of the jump rings)
D. Pliers

1.) The first step is to choose your stone pieces and string them onto the eye pin. Mine could only fit three beads, but if you get longer eye pins or wire, you can add more.

2.) Next, use your pliers to make a loop on the straight end of your eye pin to match the loop that is already made.

3.) Cut the chain to your desired length, then cut that in half to make two pieces of chain. Attach the chain to both sides of the charm you just made.

4.) Lastly, attach the lobster clasp to the other end of one of the chains and you're finished!

I would wear this necklace with a v-neck or a scoop neck shirt, something that shows off your collar bone and allows the beautiful necklace to be seen by the world! It kinda makes me feel like an ice princess or something like that, but maybe I've just watched Frozen one too many times... Oh well, have a fabulous day!

XO, Lauren
