Leather and Plaid

I never liked plaid when I was younger. It looked too boy-ish, and I was way too delicate and girly to wear it (in my mind). But just recently, this adorable plaid flowy dress at Tilly's caught my eye and I couldn't leave it on the rack, especially since it was on clearance too! It was girly enough for my style, and I could imagine it with a cute cardigan, or an edgy leather jacket like the one in today's outfit. As the weather began to cool down, my combat boots were literally screaming my name from the inside of my closet. So I paired them with my new dress too, and they tied the whole look together. 

And of course, an outfit is not complete without accessories, so I layered some mixed metal charm necklaces to add an edgy, effortless, and somewhat boho twist. I am so in love with this ensemble and it has definitely opened my mind towards different prints, especially plaid, which is perfect for the fall.

OOTD - Crop Top and High Waisted Shorts

Here's my outfit of the day! It's very summer inspired, and I know it's barely even spring yet, but where I live it's been really hot lately. I actually made a video of this outfit too! You can check it out here to see the outfit in motion and to go on a mini adventure with me! The place that I went to film and take pictures was so beautiful and it was super super fun exploring!

Early Spring Fashion Haul 2014

Meeting Bethany Mota

Today I met Bethany Mota at her first stop in the "Motavatour" to launch her spring clothing line at Aeropostale!!! It was amazing and such a dream come true! I waited in line for about four hours just to see her. It was major craziness as you can see from the pictures! But... It was totally worth it because she was so nice and I got lots of pictures! AND they gave me two free shirts and a poster! In addition, since her spring collection just launched today, I bought a pair of high waisted shorts and a crop top with comic book stylized lips on it! I wanted to buy everything, but I only had a certain amount of money set to spend (working on saving my money). Looking at the experience as a whole, I definitely think it's one of the craziest things I've done, but it really was worth it. It helped motivate me to work towards where she is because I want to start my own clothing line and inspire others! Places to Shop on a Budget

I'm always looking for sales and low prices when it comes to clothes shopping because, number one, I don't have a job, and number two, I am kind of a shopaholic. Those two don't really go well together if you haven't figured it out for yourself yet. So, to help others like me, and also those of you who just want to save money, I've created a list of stores to shop at if your funds are running low and your passion for fashion is running high.

Another way to save would be shopping online. I know many people enjoy cyber shopping, however for me, I enjoy actually going to the store and seeing the items in person. But, you never know, I might change. I remember when I was eight saying that I'll never like shopping, but now look where I am! A fashion blog and a closet full of clothes.

Explore

I love to explore. I enjoy going to nature parks, the beach, new neighborhoods, pretty much anywhere you can walk around and find new things. Besides physical exploration, I love to explore through books and, of course, fashion. They can take you places you've never dreamed of and help you discover adventure in ordinary settings. I recently just finished "Gulliver's  Travels" by Jonathan Swift and it was very enjoyable. I had to read it for my English class, but it felt like I was reading for pleasure because it was so interesting. If you haven't read it already and you like adventure books, I definitely recommend it!

Mint Jacket

I found this adorable mint jacket at Target! Shhh.. it's actually from the kids section... But hey, if you can fit, why not take advantage of the lower prices right?

Winter Sunshine

Winter has been very hot lately and it's frustrating because I love wearing scarves and boots. Keeping this in mind, I put together an outfit that can still be worn on a hot day, but it incorporates my winter fashion essentials.

A Day at Disney

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! My holiday was absolutely amazing! I received so many lovely presents and I am extremely thankful for everything. More awesome outfits to come! I am so excited!

Anyways, for today's post I am sharing what I did a few days before Christmas... I went to Disney!!!

  

  

It was definitely fun running around the park and posing by everything (as usual, always thinking about the blog). My shirt is one that I made and I actually have a tutorial on how to make it in one of my earlier posts! You can find it here. My leather jacket is from Aeropostale, my shoes and shorts are from Target, my sunglasses are from Urban Outfitters and my Mickey ears hat is from Disney!!
