Movie Theater and Burgers

Funny thing about going to the movie theater, I never want to go but once I do, I usually end up really enjoying it! Maybe it's because I'd rather be active and doing something instead of just sitting and staring at a screen, but when I actually decide to go, I have a few outfit guidelines. I'm always cold in the movie theater, I don't know if it's just me or if having the air conditioning on high is just a thing, so I like to wear a sweater or bring a light jacket. I also like to wear jeans to keep my legs warm. Overall, I tend to wear clothes that are comfortable and warm. So here's a video of my most recent trip to the movies along with my outfit AND burgers because I love burgers. Have a fabulous day!

DIY No-Sew Fall Shawl

Wearing new outerwear is one of my MOST FAVORITE parts of fall and winter! I love wearing everything from leather jackets and cardigans, to capes and coats. I am always in need of new pieces to wear in autumn, so I came up with this easy cardigan/ shawl and there's no sewing involved! I love how put together and effortless it looks, it will definitely be put to use this season! Anyways, hope you enjoy and have a fabulous day!

Let's Eat Greek

combat boots and jeans

green lace crop top and high waisted jeans

Traveling is something I definitely want to do after I graduate high school and college. I'd absolutely LOVE to go to Greece. But for now, the closest substitute is to go out to my local Greek restaurant and order some chicken souvlaki. Good enough right? So for my lunch outfit, I decided to wear a green lace shirt from Macy's and my high waisted jeans from Aeropostale because the shirt is actually cropped. I paired it with a geometric print pom pom scarf, also from Aeropostale, and my black combat boots from Target (be prepared to see these boots in a lot of my posts as the weather cools down). My three bracelets are made by me, and they make the outfit a little more casual and bohemian, rather than edgy (which could be done by adding some metal accents like a silver cuff bracelet). This could be worn as a traveling outfit, or a lunch date ensemble as I did. It's nice to wear for cool weather, but if you have actual cold weather, I'd suggest a jacket because I was kinda chilly. Anyways, have a fabulous first day of November!

Explore

I love to explore. I enjoy going to nature parks, the beach, new neighborhoods, pretty much anywhere you can walk around and find new things. Besides physical exploration, I love to explore through books and, of course, fashion. They can take you places you've never dreamed of and help you discover adventure in ordinary settings. I recently just finished "Gulliver's  Travels" by Jonathan Swift and it was very enjoyable. I had to read it for my English class, but it felt like I was reading for pleasure because it was so interesting. If you haven't read it already and you like adventure books, I definitely recommend it!

Fall-ing off the Edge

Fall is here! The weather is cooling down and it's time to break out our boots and scarves! For this edgy fall outfit, I am wearing a black shirt from Aeropostale. It has leather detail on the shoulders which helps bring in the black leather combat boots from Target. My jeans are from American Eagle. To add some color, I decided to add this coral/ orange scarf from Aeropostale. It has a layer of lace on one side and the other side is just the coral/ orange jersey fabric. And all around the edges there is this adorable dot trim that really adds an element of interest! For my other accessories I have on a BCBG leopard print bracelet that says FIERCE in gold letters, and I purchased that from Macys. Lastly, I have my favorite sunglasses at the moment. They are heart shaped aviator like ones from Urban Outfitters. I've worn them in past blog posts but I think they look good with many different outfits. Overall, this outfit is edgy with girly accents. You can wear it to school, the mall, a halloween festival/ party, or even a football game/ other sporting event! It's comfortable and still chic! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this fall outfit idea! I'm super excited to post more fall outfits!
Do you have any cute fall outfit ideas?

Back To School Outfits

Almost everybody worries about what they want to wear to school. Your outfit has to show your personality and your best features while still being comfortable. I put together three different outfits to help put your mind at ease when picking outfits for school, especially for the first few weeks of school.

Outfit 1.) "Boho" (army green jacket- JCPenny, white lacy tunic- Aeropostale, black leggings- Ross, dangle necklace- American Eagle, gold stud earrings- Forever 21, brown sandals- DSW, Sunglasses- Urban Outfitters)

Outfit 2.) "Dressy" (black skater dress- PacSun/ Brandy Melville, loose gray sweater- Aeropostale,  Coach Poppy sneakers- Ross, statement necklace- Kohls, gold stud earrings- Forever 21, round black sunglasses- Aeropostale)

Outfit 3.) "Preppy" (blue and white striped dress- Abercrombie, jean jacket- Old Navy, floral sunglasses- Charming Charlie, silver bird dangle earrings- handmade, brown sandals- DSW)

I hope you were inspired by these outfits to create your own ensembles! My tips for great back to school outfits would be to get a few pieces that can dress up simple garments or add interest. You will need "go to items" for those days when you don't feel like waking up. Also, don't get anything you are not comfortable in because you definitely won't be comfortable in it after the 8 hour school day. Lastly, be yourself and show who you are! Good luck and start your school year with confidence!

What are your school outfit tips? I'd love to hear them :)

Falling for Maroon

maroon1  maroon2

maroon3  maroon4

I've been thinking about some outfits for fall and back to school, and I've really been loving the color maroon! It reminds me of the warm and cozy feeling of autumn. Since it is still pretty warm in the fall (at least it is where I live), I wanted to find ways to make a "summery" outfit look more fall like, and I ended up with this outfit! It is still cool enough to wear in hot weather, but the maroon skirt makes it look somewhat cozier. So if you want to transition summer outfits into fall outfits, I suggest using darker/ deeper colors that look kind of "warm and cozy" if that makes sense. Try colors like maroon, mustard yellow, brown (be careful, don't get a gross looking brown), deep purple, navy, dark army green, etc. I hope this helped or inspired you!

OUTFIT DETAILS: Vintage Radio Shirt - Flea Market ($1), Maroon Skirt - Pacsun/ Brandy Melville ($10 with coupon), Black Sunglasses - Aeropostale ($5 on sale), Gold Dangle Earrings - a gift, Coach Sneakers - Ross ($50?)
